Fendi Turns Harrods Into a Roman Takeover, Complete With a Bag-Only Boutique

Starting today, one of London's most famous shopping floors gets a full Roman makeover, courtesy of Fendi's creative director.

Maria Grazia Chiuri is bringing two Fendi pop-up boutiques to Harrods, running from today through September 26, alongside a takeover of all 24 windows along Brompton Road — nine dressed displays, four vitrines, four lightboxes, and four digital screens running campaign visuals from American artist Jo Ann Callis.

The first ground-floor space is built as a direct tribute to Chiuri's fall 2026 collection, her debut lineup for the house, stocked with women's and men's ready-to-wear, shoes, and accessories designed to channel what Fendi is calling "traditional Italian warmth and hospitality" and the "artistic and architectural codes of Rome." Harrods has also secured exclusive UK launch rights for the My Peekaboo and Baguette 26424 Re-edition bags, both crafted in Fendi's hand-stitched Selleria leather.

The second space goes all-in on a single icon: more than 20 variations of the Baguette 26424 Re-edition, spanning a wide range of colors and textures, take center stage on their own.

The three-week residency isn't just a static retail display, either — Fendi has lined up daily live demonstrations throughout the takeover, giving shoppers a closer look at the house's Roman craft traditions in real time rather than just browsing finished pieces on a rack.

For Chiuri, whose tenure at Fendi has been building steadily since her appointment, the Harrods takeover marks one of her most visible public showcases yet outside the traditional runway calendar — a bet that a well-designed shopping floor, three weeks, and one very famous bag can do a lot of the storytelling on their own.
